Holy Pita Philosophy

β€œIf you eat good you feel good, if you feel good you do good.”

While traveling the world my very first stop in any new country is the food markets. I was inspired to open Holy Pita from my experiences in the Middle East tasting the rich, flavorful & multi-generational food. This is one area where we do not have to recreate the wheel.Β We source all spices from the markets of origin and use the same original techniques and recipes thatΒ have been passed down through generations; resulting in a world-class taste experience.

Being a part of our local community is very important to us and we source our produce from local markets whenever possible. We proudly include Vegan, Vegetarian and Gluten-Free options on our menu and offer Local Draft Beer for you to enjoy in our outdoor backyard seating area!

We hope to share with you soon, our love and passion for this regional cuisine.

TAIM!!

“Deserts are shipped in from Tel Aviv… the best baklava I have ever had. The owner is such a warm and welcoming guy! I felt like we got to travel abroad during the pandemic coming here!”

Ali S.

“Excellent new addition to the neighborhood. Love the hospitality and the food. The outdoor space is perfect for dining in while socially distancing. Definitely one of my new favorite spots.”

Deirdre L.

“We’ve been ordering falafel for weeks almost daily from this place. Delicious! The quality is exceptional every single time. Currently one of our favorite places!”

Artyom C.

“Time Out NY didn’t call it the β€˜best falafel in town’ for nothing. Fantastic food infused with so much flavor and love. Owner is a chef and very passionate about food. Ask for the vegan shawarma and try to guess what fruit it’s made out of. I’ll be coming back weekly for it.”

Rafaela C.

“The food is fresh and outstanding. Get the sweet malawach – thank me later! Owner Josh has a super sweet doggie named Pita. That sealed the deal for me!”

Sue B.

“The owner was SO friendly and had me try a few falafel balls on the house (just like they do it in Israel). I have to say- one of, if not THE most perfect falafels I have had in my life. The tahini, the pita, the hot sauce… all stunningly fresh and delicious. I cannot WAIT to come back and try the entire menu and dine in the backyard with friends!!! Transported me back to Tel Aviv. The real deal.”

Sarah C.

“All I have to say is wow. Best falafel I had in my life. All ingredients are super fresh and [you’re] reminded in every bite you take. The staff is super hospitable and everything was super clean. The backyard makes this place an absolute gem.”

Kitchen Junkie ASJ

“I’ve ordered it through their dedicated delivery 2x this week already and I think I am going to make it a hat trick tonight. Not only is it exceedingly delicious, it is thoughtfully wrapped to go. I cannot stress enough how delectable this food is if you are looking for something flavorful, unique, and balanced. Yum!”

Mar L.

“The real deal. If you’re craving Israeli-styled middle eastern fare, original dishes, vegetarian food or just a really good meal, look no further.”
